Ordinary Mango online purchases have 30 days from dispatch; register purchases have 30 days from purchase. CAPSULE has 14 days with a channel-specific starting date. Eligible ordinary online orders can use free participating-store or USPS returns. Items need labels and original condition; hygiene and personalised-item restrictions apply.
How to start a return
In a store
- Use a participating Mango store; airport, department-store and Puerto Rico locations are excluded from the free online-order route.
- Bring the items and return form, or the purchase barcode on your phone.
- Keep the store return confirmation until the original payment refund arrives.
Online or by mail
- Request the official USPS return online and use the emailed code.
- Pack the items and completed return form, marking a refund reason or requested size.
- Hand over within the stated 10 working days after requesting, while respecting the purchase window; save the acceptance receipt.
What is Mango’s U.S. return policy?
For an ordinary online order, Mango gives you 30 days from dispatch to exchange or return eligible items. A purchase made at a store register has 30 days from purchase. CAPSULE pieces have a shorter 14-day period, with a different starting point depending on how you ordered.
That distinction can save an expensive mistake. The ordinary online clock starts when the order ships, so a week spent in transit is already part of the decision period. Try on the clothes promptly, keeping their labels and original condition intact.
Eligible online orders can use free returns at participating Mango stores or the official USPS drop-off service. Independent mail returns are another option, but you pay the carrier. Mango Outlet, department-store locations and orders placed using an in-store iPad need separate attention. Use the route for the transaction you actually made, rather than assuming every purchase carrying the Mango name follows one process.
| Purchase or question | Rule | What matters |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary online order | 30 days from dispatch | Original labels and condition |
| Register purchase | 30 days from purchase | Paper or digital purchase receipt |
| Online CAPSULE | 14 days from delivery | Original labels required |
| Store CAPSULE | 14 days from purchase | Store-purchase conditions apply |
| iPad CAPSULE | 14 days from dispatch | Use the dedicated iPad instructions |
| Official USPS return | Free for eligible online orders | Excludes Outlet and in-store iPad orders |
Does Mango count from purchase, shipping or delivery?
The starting date depends on the purchase channel and collection. Ordinary online orders use dispatch, ordinary register purchases use purchase, and online CAPSULE orders use delivery.
For an illustration, suppose an ordinary online order ships on October 2 and arrives on October 7. The five days in transit do not restart the 30-day period. Keep the dispatch email with the order so you are working from the relevant date.
Mango’s online terms also address split deliveries: when products in the confirmed order are dispatched separately, the dispatch date of the last product applies. Check that against the order details if a parcel arrives later than the rest.
An iPad order placed by a store associate is a distinct channel, even though you were physically inside a store. Its help page uses dispatch for the ordinary 30-day period. Identify that order type before counting days or choosing a label.
What is the return window for Mango CAPSULE items?
CAPSULE has 14 days, rather than the ordinary 30. For a regular online purchase, the current help page counts those 14 days from delivery. For a store purchase, it counts from purchase. The dedicated in-store iPad page specifies dispatch.
Keep the original labels attached. Mango expressly says CAPSULE pieces cannot be exchanged or returned without them. An occasion dress bought for an event is therefore a purchase to assess immediately, before any tailoring or wearing.
Check whether the actual item belongs to CAPSULE; a higher price or formal style alone does not identify its collection. Your product listing and order information are better guides than the look of the garment.
If an associate ordered it on an iPad, mention that detail when seeking help. Using the regular online delivery-based explanation for that transaction could give you the wrong starting date for an already short period.
Can you return an online Mango purchase to a store for free?
Yes, at an eligible Mango store. Bring the items and the return form supplied with the order. If the form is missing, download it from My Purchases or show the return barcode on your phone.
The current store-return instructions exclude locations in airports, department stores and Puerto Rico from the free store route. Check the destination before traveling; a Mango department inside another retailer is not automatically a return counter for a Mango.com parcel.
A store return is also Mango’s fastest refund route, although processing and bank posting still take time. It can be useful when you want an associate to look at a garment or discuss another size.
Keep the store’s return confirmation until the refund appears. Giving the item to a store and receiving money in your bank account are separate stages, so the confirmation is the useful record if you need to follow up.
How do free USPS returns work?
Request the return online through Mango’s official USPS route. Mango emails a code to present at the delivery point. Prepare the parcel with the items and the completed return form, then take it to the USPS location.
For a size exchange, write the requested size next to the relevant item on the form. For a refund, give the return reason. A missing form can be downloaded from the order details in My Purchases.
Mango gives you 10 working days after making the request to hand over the parcel. Treat that as a handover instruction, rather than assuming it adds ten days to the merchandise-return deadline. Start while the purchase is still eligible and keep the acceptance receipt.
This service excludes Mango Outlet purchases and orders placed through an in-store iPad. If the order came through either route, use its own instructions instead of creating an unrelated request just to obtain a free label.
Can you send a Mango return using your own carrier?
Yes, but independent postage is your expense. Mango’s mail instructions ask for the items and return form, with the return label attached to the outside. If the label is missing, the published destination is MANGO RETURNS – C/O Carbel Easton One, 1520 Van Buren Rd, Easton, PA 18045.
The cost depends on the carrier, parcel size and weight. Use a service with tracking or confirmation of receipt, as Mango recommends. The terms also recommend insurance and say the company is not responsible for parcels that fail to reach its warehouse.
Compare that expense with the official free USPS option before buying postage for an eligible ordinary online order. Choosing your own mail service does not turn it into the free drop-off service, even if you use the same postal carrier.
For an incorrect or defective item, identify the problem first so the return is assessed under the appropriate instructions.
Do you need a receipt or printed return form?
You need the purchase information, but a missing paper slip is often recoverable. For online purchases, Mango lets you download the return form from the order details in My Purchases. Its store-return instructions also accept the barcode displayed on your phone.
For a register purchase, bring the paper or digital purchase receipt. The in-store help page also directs shoppers to the barcode in My Purchases under Exchanges and returns.
That is different from an automatic refund for an entirely undocumented purchase. Recover the order or digital receipt before assuming a recognizable Mango garment is enough.
For a gift, ask the purchaser for the relevant return documentation or contact support about the records you have. Do not assume the gift recipient receives cash: Mango’s ordinary refund rule sends the money back through the original payment method. Having the right paperwork helps the team identify the correct transaction and explain the available handling.
Can you return worn clothes or items without their labels?
Ordinary returns need the items in original condition with their labels. Mango does not offer a wear-it-for-a-month trial. Assess fit while preserving the condition in which the garment arrived.
Personalised or altered items cannot be exchanged or returned under the ordinary policy. Have the purchase assessed before taking trousers to a tailor or changing the garment yourself; an alteration can remove the ordinary return option even if the calendar window remains open.
A genuine defect needs a different conversation. Mango’s defect help specifically tells customers to contact Customer Service when an affected item has been used, has lost its labels or is outside the return period. That is a route to assessment, not a promise that every worn item is refundable.
Describe what failed and when you noticed it. Reporting the actual fault gives support a useful starting point and avoids confusing a quality complaint with a change of mind about a used garment.
Are swimwear, underwear, earrings and cosmetics returnable?
Check the channel-specific restrictions before removing a seal. Mango’s general return-conditions page allows sealed lingerie, underwear and swimwear to be returned only while the protective seal or device remains intact.
The dedicated store-purchase page is stricter: it lists swimwear, lingerie, underwear and earrings as non-returnable for hygiene reasons. That means you should not apply the online sealed-item explanation automatically to something bought at a register. Read the terms on that purchase receipt.
Fragrances, candles and other cosmetics must remain in their original sealed packaging. Personalised or altered items are excluded, and the current help pages also list gift cards as non-exchangeable and non-returnable.
If two Mango pages appear to describe your item differently, give support the actual order channel and product before mailing. The practical goal is to confirm eligibility while the seal and packaging are still intact, rather than discover the restriction after opening them.
Can you exchange for another size, colour or style?
Mango’s online exchange process is for another size. Its terms say a different model requires a refund followed by a new purchase. The return form asks you to identify the replacement size beside the item.
An exchange therefore needs a little more precision than “send another one.” Check the size you want and mark the correct line, particularly if the parcel contains several garments from the same order.
The company’s stock still matters. Returning a piece does not reserve every size or guarantee that a seasonal style will be available by the time your parcel is processed. If the replacement is time-sensitive, ask about the current options before relying on an exchange for an event.
Orders placed through an in-store iPad have their own rule: to change sizes, make a return and a new purchase. Use that instruction even when an ordinary online order would otherwise have a size-exchange route.
How do orders placed on an in-store iPad differ?
An iPad order uses the dedicated iPad-return instructions. Ordinary items have 30 days from dispatch. The current help page gives CAPSULE pieces 14 days from dispatch and requires their original labels.
The available routes are a free store return or a return by mail. The free USPS drop-off service for ordinary online purchases specifically excludes this channel. A size change also requires a return and a new purchase.
That matters when an associate ordered an unavailable size for delivery to your home. The parcel may look like a normal website order, but the ordering method changes the available return service.
Find the order confirmation and identify it as an iPad purchase when speaking to support. If paying for independent postage, confirm the destination and cost first. A nearby eligible store may be simpler, particularly when you also want to purchase a replacement size without waiting for a postal exchange.
How long does Mango take to refund a return?
Allow time for handling and then for the bank. Mango’s current refund help breaks the process into stages:
- Store returns are the fastest; some take up to 48 hours on working days to process and confirm.
- A collection-point parcel can take up to six working days to reach the warehouse.
- After arrival and inspection, warehouse refund processing is within 48 hours on working days.
- After Mango issues the refund email, bank receipt can take three to twelve working days.
The refund uses the original payment method. A carrier delivery scan is useful evidence, but it is not the same as the email confirming the money has been issued.
Keep those stages separate when following up. If the package is still moving, tracking is the useful question. If Mango has issued the refund but it has not reached the account, use the confirmation date and the bank’s processing position.
What if your Mango refund or exchange seems stuck?
Start with the handover receipt and the latest email. Mango says collection-point parcels may take several days to arrive at its warehouse. It emails when it refunds the garments or sends the requested replacement size.
Check whether tracking shows acceptance, transit or delivery. Then look for the corresponding Mango message, including the email account used for the purchase. A delivered parcel awaiting inspection is a different problem from a refund already issued but not yet posted by the bank.
Have the order number, return tracking and items available when contacting Customer Service. For an exchange, identify the requested size and the relevant line on the return form.
Avoid sending a second copy of the same merchandise or starting a different order’s return to resolve a delay. Keeping one transaction and its evidence together makes it easier for the team to investigate the stage that actually needs attention.
What should you do with an incorrect or defective Mango item?
Use the available return method and select “Incorrect Item” or “Defective Item” to describe the actual issue. If the garment has already been used, has no labels or is outside the usual period, contact Customer Service for assistance.
Once a defect is confirmed, Mango’s help page says it refunds the item price and shipping costs paid. Its terms explain that ordinary-post return expenses can also be reimbursed when you include the postage receipt, using Standard, Ground or Regular shipping. Premium Express, Overnight or Two Day costs are not automatically reimbursed under those instructions.
Photographs and the order information can help you explain the mismatch or fault clearly. Keep any postage receipt with the case rather than discarding it once tracking shows delivery.
Do not pay for an expensive rush return on the assumption that every carrier charge will be covered. Check the instructions for the particular problem before choosing a service.
Will Mango adjust the price if an item goes on sale?
An eligible first markdown can qualify for a one-time adjustment within 14 days of purchase. Mango refunds the difference through the original payment method.
The help page excludes promotional sale prices because those are not permanent price changes. A short-lived discount code or promotion should not be treated as automatically qualifying in the same way as the first permanent markdown.
For an illustration, an eligible item bought for $80 and first marked down to $60 would have a $20 difference before any applicable adjustments. Support still needs to confirm that the purchase and price change meet the conditions.
Check this option before paying to return and rebuy something you want to keep. It may avoid postage and a second purchase, but it does not extend the merchandise-return deadline or make an excluded hygiene item returnable. Keep the original purchase date and the current listing available when asking.
How do you contact Mango about a U.S. return?
Call 1-866-666-4664 or use the assistant on the official help page. Telephone agents are listed Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST. The assistant is available around the clock; its published agent hours also include weekends, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.
Lead with the detail that changes the answer: online versus register versus iPad, CAPSULE versus ordinary collection, or preference return versus defect. That is more useful than asking for “the 30-day policy” without identifying the order.
If you are close to the deadline, choose a supported route promptly and save its confirmation. Mango notes that promotions can sometimes extend the period, but that is not a standing extra allowance for every purchase. Use an extension only when it is actually stated for your order, rather than relying on a previous year’s Black Friday summary.
