Most eligible Anthropologie merchandise can be returned with an original receipt or AnthroPerks lookup up to one year after purchase or delivery. Within 30 days, the refund goes to the original payment method; after 30 days, eligible returns receive merchandise credit. Items must be unworn, unwashed and unaltered with tags and original packaging. Most mail returns have a $5.95 deduction. Store purchases, furniture, online gowns and Curated partner products have different return routes.
What is Anthropologie’s 30-day refund window and one-year return limit?
For most eligible merchandise, Anthropologie offers a refund to the original payment method within 30 days. After that, eligible returns receive merchandise credit at the original selling price, up to one year. Returns beyond one year are not accepted under the general policy.
Online merchandise counts from delivery; store purchases count from purchase. Keep the receipt or order confirmation and delivery notice so you can establish which date applies. An item can still be within the broader return period while no longer qualifying for an original-payment refund.
Product and seller restrictions remain important. Furniture, made-to-order bridal merchandise, Curated partner products and final-sale goods do not all follow the ordinary clothing route. Check those terms before relying on the headline window. If you want money back rather than credit, decide and complete the return early in the 30-day period instead of treating the one-year outer limit as a year-long cash-refund promise.
Can you return worn Anthropologie clothing or items without tags?
Ordinary merchandise must be unworn, unwashed and unaltered, with tags and original packaging. Keep those materials while deciding whether the purchase works for you. The longer credit-return period does not authorize extended wear or removing required product labels.
Try on clothing carefully and keep it away from makeup, perfume and stains. For an item with separate components or packaging, check that the entire return is present before handing it over. A receipt establishes the transaction but does not by itself establish acceptable condition.
Gowns and bridal merchandise have especially detailed condition requirements, including freedom from marks and debris. Made-to-order styles can be final sale. For a genuine problem with the product, report it promptly using the issue process rather than assuming ordinary condition rules require you to hide the damage. Keep photographs and the original packaging so customer service can understand how the item arrived.
Can Anthropologie look up a return without the original receipt?
Anthropologie requires an original receipt or an AnthroPerks lookup for its general return process. The lookup is a way to establish the purchase; it is not a blanket promise that any unreceipted product will receive cash or credit.
Bring the receipt if available and provide the information associated with the AnthroPerks purchase when using a lookup. For an online order, keep the order confirmation or locate the order history. A gift recipient should coordinate with the purchaser to obtain the relevant order information rather than assuming the item’s tag proves the transaction.
Check what record the store or online flow actually finds. If the purchase cannot be identified, contact customer service before mailing an unregistered package. The original transaction matters for the date, amount paid and refund destination. A similar current product listing does not show which price or payment method applied to the purchase you are returning.
Can you return an Anthropologie online order to a store?
Most eligible online purchases can be returned free to an Anthropologie store, but important exclusions apply. Curated partner merchandise, items shipped through Unlimited Furniture Delivery, and online gowns or bridal sets cannot use the ordinary store route. Gowns or bridal sets originally purchased in a store are treated differently from those bought online.
Home Outlet locations and pop-ups do not process ordinary returns. Identify the actual location before traveling, particularly with furniture or a special-occasion purchase. A store selling similar goods does not necessarily mean it accepts the return channel shown on your order.
Merchandise bought in a store must go back through a store; it cannot use the standard web-order mail process. Bring the proof of purchase, tags and packaging and retain the return receipt. For a mixed online order, separate store-eligible merchandise from partner or special-delivery products so each is routed correctly.
How do you start an Anthropologie return by mail?
Open the relevant purchase in Order History and select Start Return or Exchange. Guest purchases and gifts can use the Order Status route linked from the official returns page. Follow the flow for that specific order and print the supplied return label and paperwork.
Pack the listed products securely, include their matching return information and cover the old shipping label. Anthropologie provides email tracking and a copy of the label through the process. Keep those records and obtain proof of carrier handoff; an unused label does not prove the package was sent.
When making multiple returns, keep each label and return slip associated with its own contents. Do not combine separately registered returns into a single parcel just because they share the same retailer. A label must identify the actual package it tracks. Partner-sold merchandise needs the partner’s process, so check the product’s seller before using an ordinary Anthropologie warehouse label.
Are Anthropologie returns free, and what is the $5.95 fee?
Most ordinary mail returns use a $5.95 deduction from the refund. Eligible store returns are free. Anthropologie’s prepaid return labels are available for the continental United States, so a customer elsewhere should check the order’s available route rather than assume the same label service is offered.
Do not add extra postage to a supplied prepaid label. If using your own carrier, the policy recommends a tracked and insured service and makes clear that Anthropologie is not responsible for the customer’s self-arranged shipping costs or loss. Confirm the authorized destination before paying for an independent shipment.
Original shipping charges are generally nonrefundable. Compare the merchandise amount, any return deduction and the separate outbound delivery charge when checking the eventual credit. An exchange can have different fee treatment, while furniture and partner merchandise have separate handling. The ordinary $5.95 provision is not a universal price for every possible return.
Does Anthropologie offer free exchanges for another size or color?
Anthropologie offers exchanges for the same item in a different size or color, subject to its exchange process and availability. The exchange label is free and outbound shipping for the exchange is waived under the ordinary instructions.
If you want an entirely different item, make a return and a separate purchase instead. An exchange request does not guarantee that every replacement size remains in stock. Check the option shown in the order flow and verify the replacement description before submitting.
Keep the exchange confirmation with the original order and track the returned parcel. Do not expect both a merchandise refund and a replacement for the same completed exchange unless support specifically establishes that outcome. Furniture exchanges can have extra delivery charges, and Curated products follow their partner’s exchange conditions. A benefit offered for ordinary Anthropologie clothing should not be assumed to apply to a partner-shipped or oversized product.
How long does an Anthropologie refund take?
Anthropologie describes ordinary mail returns as taking approximately one to two weeks to process, followed by one to three business days for the refund. Its page also warns that the refund can take up to two billing cycles to appear on a statement. These are estimates for different stages, not a guarantee that every mailed package is credited three days after drop-off.
Eligible store refunds generally have the stated one-to-three-business-day posting estimate. Check the original payment account and retain the return receipt or processing email.
If a credit is missing, identify whether the package is still in transit, the retailer has not processed it, or the payment account has not posted the completed refund. Provide the corresponding tracking and confirmation rather than only the date the label was printed. For an amount discrepancy, compare the original selling price with the return deduction and any nonrefundable shipping before escalating.
What happens to gift-card purchases and returns after 30 days?
After the ordinary 30-day original-payment period, eligible merchandise returned within the general one-year limit receives merchandise credit at the original selling price. That credit is a shopping balance, rather than a payment-card refund you can spend elsewhere.
Purchases paid with a gift card also receive credit under Anthropologie’s refund terms. Do not wait for money to appear in a bank account when the original purchase was funded by a gift card. For a gift, use the order-status or purchaser information needed to identify the transaction and check the destination shown during processing.
Keep the credit confirmation and verify its amount against what was actually paid for the returned product. The current full retail price is not necessarily the original selling price. If the purchase had a discount, retain the original order summary to explain the calculation. Product exclusions and condition requirements still apply when the requested outcome is credit.
Which Anthropologie sale items and products cannot be returned?
The published sale exception combines three conditions: a sale price ending in .95, an additional sale-on-sale discount, and a Final Sale designation. Do not infer from the price ending alone that every .95 item is final sale. Read the label and offer conditions for the actual product.
Other excluded products include packaged food, menstrual cups, sexual-wellness devices, live plants and made-to-order gowns or bridal sets. Home Outlet purchases are sold as-is and are final sale. Nuuly retired-rental products offered through the relevant Curated arrangement are also final sale under that help page.
Check the product page and order confirmation while deciding, particularly for a sale-on-sale promotion. Preserve a screenshot or copy of the designation if the return interface later seems inconsistent. If the item arrived damaged or wrong, use the prompt issue-reporting route; do not treat a final-sale preference rule as instructions to ignore an actual fulfillment problem.
How do Anthropologie furniture returns and restocking fees work?
Eligible furniture must be in saleable condition and returned within 30 days of delivery, using the required delivery-service process. Furniture covered by Unlimited Furniture Delivery cannot go back to an ordinary store. Contact the furniture team to arrange the return and pickup.
Selected upholstery can have a 25% restocking fee plus applicable tax, as disclosed on the product page. Read the specific item’s conditions rather than assigning that fee to every furniture purchase. Original delivery fees are nonrefundable. The policy describes complimentary pickup arranged through the furniture team for the relevant delivery-service return.
Oversized items shipped by UPS need a label requested through support and have the stated $5.95 label charge. Furniture exchanges may require an additional flat shipping charge. Keep the delivery record, product description and fee disclosure together. Before moving or disassembling anything, confirm the handling instructions and pickup arrangement for that particular product.
Can you return Anthropologie wedding gowns or made-to-order bridal items?
Returnable gowns and bridal merchandise have detailed condition requirements: they must be unworn, unaltered and unstained, with original tags and packaging, and free of pet hair, floor debris and pin marks. Take care during a fit check and retain the original materials until you decide.
Gowns or bridal sets bought online cannot be returned in a store under the stated route restriction. A purchase originally made in a store has different handling. Use the source and order flow for the actual purchase rather than choosing the nearest counter.
Wedding gowns have a $25 restocking fee plus applicable tax, deducted from the refund. Check the product page for its specific fee details. Made-to-order gowns and bridal sets are final sale, and the gown provision also prohibits cancellation. Review that designation before ordering or arranging alterations. If there is a product issue, contact support promptly with the order number and photographs before mailing a restricted item.
How do Anthropologie Curated partner returns work?
Look for the Sold and Fulfilled by partner information. Curated merchandise ships from a partner and follows the Shipping & Returns terms on its product page or order email. Mixed purchases can have separate order numbers, so keep the partner confirmation as well as the Anthropologie order record.
Use the partner’s prepaid label and send the product directly to that partner. Curated returns cannot be processed at Anthropologie stores or its ordinary warehouse. Sending a product to the wrong place can delay identifying it and issuing the refund.
Exchange rules vary by partner, and the Curated process does not offer Anthropologie merchandise credit. Its help page describes refund processing of roughly one to three business days after partner receipt, but timing varies. Track the actual partner parcel and use its confirmation when following up. Do not apply Anthropologie’s general one-year credit-return period automatically to a seller’s separate terms.
What deadlines apply to damaged orders and holiday purchases?
Report a product issue promptly. Anthropologie’s page says product-related issues must be reported within 30 days and gives a more specific 30 days from shipping instruction for damaged, missing or incorrect deliveries. That shipping-date clock differs from the ordinary online delivery-date refund clock, so use the earlier issue-reporting deadline when seeking help with a delivery problem.
Keep the package, order record and clear photographs of affected merchandise. Identify missing quantities and the package involved so support can assess the actual shipment.
The current holiday notice covers eligible purchases October 1 through December 31, with returns or exchanges through January 31, excluding Unlimited Furniture Delivery and gowns. The notice does not clearly say that every extended return receives an original-payment refund. Confirm the refund destination for the order rather than treating the holiday date as an unconditional cash-refund extension or as an override of final-sale rules.
How do gift, registry and DoorDash returns differ?
For an eligible online gift or registry purchase, start the return using the order number and billing ZIP code from the purchase. The order number may be on the outside shipping label. If it cannot be found, customer service can help using the gift giver’s name or email address.
Choose e-merchandise credit and enter the email address where it should be sent after the return is received. Eligible store-bought gifts go to a store for merchandise credit. Product and channel exclusions still apply; a registry designation does not make partner merchandise eligible at a regular counter.
DoorDash purchases cannot be returned for a refund under Anthropologie’s published rules. They can be exchanged at an Anthropologie store within 30 days of purchase for the same product in another size or color of equal value. For an order problem, use DoorDash customer service through its app. This separate arrangement should not be confused with an ordinary Anthropologie online gift return.
How do you contact Anthropologie about a return?
General customer service is available at 1-800-309-2500. The official contact page lists phone hours of 8 a.m.–10 p.m. Eastern Monday–Friday and 8 a.m.–9 p.m. Eastern Saturday–Sunday, and chat availability around the clock. Check that page for changes before calling.
Furniture support has a separate number, 1-800-732-2306, with its own published hours: 8 a.m.–10 p.m. Eastern Monday–Friday and 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Eastern Saturday. Use the furniture team for delivery-service returns and pickup questions.
Prepare the order number or store receipt, purchase or shipping and delivery dates, item and seller, and requested outcome. For a refund query, add the return tracking and processing confirmation. For Curated merchandise, include the partner’s separate order number. Ask a specific question about eligibility, destination, pickup or payment rather than sending a product first and trying to establish the correct route afterward.
